A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING GEORGE LUSCHEN FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a commu-
nity award public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS.-, GEORGE LUSCHEN has diligently served the City
of Edmonds and the citizens thereof as a member of the Board
of Adjustment during a period of time when the City of Edmonds
has enjoyed its greatest growth and faced considerable prac-
tical difficulties necessitated thereby, and
WHEREAS,, during the time so spent, GEORGE LUSCHEN, has
devoted himself unselfishly and without remuneration to the
spirit of bettering the community in which he has so pain-
stakingly served, and
WHEREAS, GEORGE LUSCHEN, voluntarily retired from his
position on the Planning Commission, much to the regret of
his fellow city officials, and
WHEREAS., the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and
effort so spent by GEORGE LUSCHEN and that said commendation
should be made a part of the permanent records of said City
of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that GEORGE LUSCHEN be hereby commended for his
unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof and for his guidance for the future and better devel-
opment of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said GEORGE LUSCHEN and an additional copy
be entered in the permanent records of this City in order that
the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect
in which GEORGE LUSCHEN has been, is and will be held forever-
more.
