Resolution 189RESOLUTION NO. _to A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON CLASSIFYING CERTAIN STREETS INTO ARTERIAL AND ACCESS STREETS AND FURTHER SUB -DIVIDING THE SAME INTO MAJOR, SECONDARY AND COLLECTOR ARTERIALS BY THE ADOPTION HEREIN OF A MAP DEPICTING SUCH CLASSI- FICATION. WHEREAS, Chapter 83, Laws of 1967, Extraordinary Session, provided for an Urban Arterial Program to be administered by the Urban Arterial Board, and WHEREAS, pursuant to said law the legislative authority of each city lying within or having within its boundaries an urban area as defined therein shall with the advice and assistance of its chief engineer divide its streets into arterial streets and access streets and shall further sub- divide the arterials into three functional classes to be known as major arterials, secondary arterials and collector arterials, all in accordance with uniform standards established by the Urban Arterial Board, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON: That certain urban arterial functional classification system depicting county and city urban arterials sub -divided into major arterials, secondary arterials and collector arterials, together with existing state arterials in the Edmonds planning area, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby adopted by reference and by this reference is incorporated herein as if set forth in full, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED said classification of streets shall be submitted to the Urban Arterial Board. y- REsOLVED_this 2nd day of July, 1968 by the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington.
