A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON COM-
MENDING THE EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL FOR ITS PRESENTATION
FOR THE YEAR 1968.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of July, 1966, the city council of
the City of Edmonds did adopt Resolution No. 134 requesting the
return on each successive year of the EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL to the
end that the arts and crafts annually presented shall become
permanently embeded in the way of life of the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, said EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL has thus annually returned
on the following successive years including this the year 1968, and
WHEREAS, said 1968 presentation of the EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL
was presented in exceedingly good taste within the mores of the
citizens of the City of Edmonds as well as its neighboring communi-
ties, and
WHEREAS, said EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL was presented during untimely
inclement wheather, it was nevertheless attended by over ten thousand
persons, further attesting to the efforts and inspiration of those
participating in its presentation and in the success of its culmin-
ation, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that the EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL, and those who make it
possible, be and the same hereby are again commended for this their
eleventh and finest annual presentation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL be and
the same hereby is again urged to return on each successive year
-to the end that the arts and crafts presented therein shall be
forevermore a part of and inspiration in the lives of the persons
who enjoy the same within the city we know as Edmonds.
