RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF EDMONDS
AS A MEMBER OF THE
PUGET SOUND GOVERNMENTAL CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds and its neighboring cities and
counties have had a past history of cooperation and coordinated effort
and financial participation undertaken to resolve regional problems; and
WHEREAS, the counties of King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish
and the cities of Bremerton, Everett, Seattle and Tacoma have organized
and established, pursuant to state law, the Puget Sound Governmental
Conference for the purpose of studying regional governmental problems of
mutual concern; and
WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Governmental Conference has made it
possible for other cities desiring to become members of the Conference to
do so by provision in its Articles of Association and Bylaws; and
WHEREAS, membership and participation in the Puget Sound Govern-
mental Conference is of mutual benefit to the Conference and to all
municipalities within the region;
N01W3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Edmonds does
hereby associate as a member of the Puget Sound Governmental Conference;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Edmonds does hereby
adopt the Articles of Association and Bylaws of the Puget Sound Govern-
mental Conference, which shall be considered a part of this resolution;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Edmonds may contribute
to the expenses of the Puget Sound Governmental Conference, pursuant to
the Articles of Association and Bylaws.
