A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING LEIF LARSON, JAMES REID, EARL STAY,
JAMES MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE FOR .THEIR SERVICES
TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a com-
munity award public recognition for outstanding public
service rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said LEIF LARSON, JAMES REID, EARL STAY,
JAMES MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE have diligently served the
City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, in various real
estate negotiations and acquisitions, and
WHEREAS, said negotiations and acquisitions have resulted
in substantial gains towards the ultimate park and recreational
activity goals of the projected comprehensive park plan in and
for the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, most recently said LEIF LARSON, JAMES REID,
EARL STAY, JAMES MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE have completed negoti-
ations for and acquisition of waterfront park property extending
the City of Edmonds waterfront park system north of Main Street
for a distance of approximately 31400 feet of waterfront park,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the
officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that
a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort
so spent by LEIF LARSON, JAMES REID, EARL STAY, JAMES MURPHY AND
JOHN WALLACE and that said commendation should be made a part of
the permanent records of said City of Edmonds; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that LEIF LARSON, JA:`E_S REID, EARL STAY, JAMES
MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE be hereby commended for their unselfish
dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof and
for their guidance for the future and better development of said
City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said LEIF LARSON, JAMES REID, EARL STAY, JAMES
MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE and an additional copy be entered in the
permanent records of this City in order that the citizens be
forever aware of th:e high.esteem and respect in which LEIF LARSON,
JAMES REID, EARL STAY, JAMES MURPHY AND JOHN WALLACE have been,
are and will be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this lst day of July, 1969.
