WHEREAS, the four Fire Chiefs in South Snohomish County have been
rneeting every Monday for the past four months, and
WHEREAS, their discussion has been centered around common problems
in the fire field in South Snohomish County, and ,
WHEREAS, centralized dispatching and improved radio communication
has been predominate in the discussions,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE FIRE CHIEFS TO RECOMMEND TO
THEIR RESPECTIVE CITY COUNCILS OR DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That no later than January 1, 1970, all of the Fire Departments,
Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Snohomish County District #1 join
together on a common Fire Radio frequency.
2. That the Fire Chiefs continue to meet and explore the consolidation to all fire
dispatching into one comomn location.
3. That mutual aid agreements between the parties involved be re-
written if needed and updated.
4. That plans be made and submitted for your approval of automatic
responses by emergency equipment when needed to protect disaster scenes until
the department having prime jurisdiction arrives.
5. That we work with the telephone company in anyway possible to
consolidate the emergency phone numbers into one common number.
