A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON TO ANNEX BY
ORDINANCE PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGH-
WAYS CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS
AND SETTING A DATE .FOR PUBLIC HEARING OF SAID
INTENTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, for strictly municipal purposes finds it in
the public interest for the purpose of traffic control
and development of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and utilities
that the following described properties should be annexed
to the City of Edmonds and that a public hearing should
be called to hear arguments for and against said intention,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Edmonds to extend its corporate limits to
include the following described property by way of annex-
ation:
(A) The easterly half of the Primary State Highway
No. 1 right-of-way between the north right-of-way
of 228th Street S.W. extended and the City of
Edmonds' city limits 125 feet north of the north
right-of-way line at 244th Street S.W.
(B) The westerly half of Primary State Highway No.
1 from the north right-of-way of 22.4th Street S.W.
to the north lot line of Tract 21, Solners Five
Acre Tracts, Section 29, Township 27, Range 4,
Snohomish County.
(C) That unincorporated portion of the Edmonds Way
right -o£ -way between the north section line of
Section ,36, Township 27 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
(Edmonds City Limits) and the northeasterly ex-
tension of the common lot line between Lots 4
and 5, Westgate Park, Division No. 2, according
to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 13 of Plats,
Pages 40 and 41■ records of Snohomish County,
Washington (Edmonds City Limits).

Section 2. All persons who may desire to objectto the
proposed annexation herein mentioned are hereby notified to
appear at the Council Chambers in the Civic Center in the
City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council
on October 21, 1969, at.the hour of 8:00 P.M. of said day,
then and there to present their objections thereto, if any
they have.
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
and post notice :of said public hearing and the City Attorney
is directed to request waiver of the hearing of the annex-
ation board of review.
