A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING KINGMAN BAILEY FOR HIS SERVICES TO SAID
CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a com-
munity award public recognition for outstanding public
service rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said KINGMAN BAILEY has diligently served
the City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, as a member
of the Civil Service Commission for a period of twelve
consecutive years, and
WHEREAS, KINGMAN BAILEY voluntarily retired from his
said position much to the regret of his fellow city
officials and Civil Service Commission members, and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent, KINGMAN BAILEY
has devoted himself unselfishly and without financial
remuneration to the spirit of bettering the community
in which he has so painstakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
and the officers and employees of said City deem it only
fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith
for the time and effort so spent by KINGMAN BAILEY and
that said commendation should be made a part of the
permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that KINGMAN BAILEY be hereby comm-
ended for his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds
and the citizens thereof and for his guidance for the
future and better development of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to the said KINGMAN BAILEY and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in
order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem
and respect in which KINGMAN BAILEY has been, is and will
be held forevermore.
