A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING CHARLES V. PETERSON FOR HIS SERVICES
TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a
community award public recognition for outstanding public
service rendered by individual.citizens, and
WHEREAS, said CHARLES V. PETERSON has diligently
served the City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, as
a member of the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, CHARLES V. PETERSON voluntarily retired
from his said position much to the regret of his fellow
city officials and Planning Commission members, and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent, CHARLES V.
PETERSON has devoted himself unselfishly and without
financial remuneration to the spirit of bettering the
community in which he has so painstakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
and the officers and employees of said City deem it only
fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith
for the time and effort so spent by CHARLES V. PETERSON
and that said commendation should be made a part of the
permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EPMONDS, WASHINGTON, that CHARLES V. PETERSON by hereby
commended for his unselfish dedication to the City of
Edmonds and the citizens thereof and for his guidance for
the future and better development of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to the said CHARLES V. PETERSON and an addit-
ional. copy be entered in the permanent records of this City
in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high
esteem and respect in which CHARLES V. PETERSON has been,
is and will be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 2nd day of December,
1969.
