A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND THE CITY
CLERK TO ATTEST A QUIT CLAIM DEED CONVEYING
CERTAIN PROPERTY TO GUNNARD E. SWANSON AND
ADRIENNE G. SWANSON, HIS WIFE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds acquired from
Gunnard E. Swanson and Adrienne G. Swanson, his wife
the real property legally described below in 1950
for the purpose of establishing street right-of-ways,
and
WHEREAS, it was subsequently determined that said
right-of-way would not be utilized as originally con-
templated, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to public sale the City Council
on August 16, 1960 awarded a bid for said property to
Gunnard Swanson, the official minutes of said City
Council meeting reciting as follows:
and,
"Bids were opened on the sale of portions of
Lots 35, 36, 37 and 38, Block 81, 8th and
Sprague. One bid was received, from Gunnard
Swanson, the eriginal ewner, in the amount
of $105.00. A motion was made by Councilman
Tuson, seconded by Councilman Simpson to
accept the bid of $105.00 from Mr. Swanson
for the property. The motion carried."
WHEREAS, Gunnard E. Swanson did purchase said
property by payment of $105.00 for which the City
Treasurer issued City Treasurer's Receipt No. 08495
in said sum of $105.00, and
WHEREAS, the deed was not issued for the conveyance
of said property, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE that the Mayor should issue a quit
claim deed to Gunnard E. Swanson and Adrienne G. Swanson
of the following described real property:
That portion of Lots 35, 36, 37 and 38, Block
81, plat of City of Edmonds, records of Snohomish
County, Washington,,described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of said
Lot 38; thence East 120.00 feet to the north-
east corner of Lot 35; thence South 105.52
feet; thence North 50054122"W 147.64 feet to
a point of curvature; thence along an arc
to the right of a curve whose.radius is
177.07 feet, an arc distance of 7.09 feet
to the west line of said Lot 38; thence
North 7A5 feet to the Point of Beginning.
RESOLVED this 7th day of April, 1970'.
