Resolution 224RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE, TERM- INABLE ON THIRTY (30) DAYS NOTICE, FOR UTILIZATION OF THE UNION OIL PARK. WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is in immediate need for additional ball diamonds for park purposes, and WHEREAS, Union Oil Company of California has available property presently being unused that is suitable with minor site preparation for such purposes, and WHEREAS, Union Oil Company of California is willing to make such property available on a temporary basis in the spirit of bettering the community in which it participates, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized to execute a lease, terminable by either party on thrity (30) days notice, of the real property described in Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein as if set forth in full, and it is further hereby resolved that said property shall for the duration of the term of said lease be referred to for municipal purposes as the "Union Oil Park".
