A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON TO ANNEX BY
ORDINANCE PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGH-
WAYS CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS
AND SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING OF SAID
INTENTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, for strictly municipal purposes, finds it in
the public interest for the purpose of traffic control
and the development of utilities that the following
described property should be annexed to the City of Edmonds
and that a public hearing should be called to hear arguments
for and against said intention, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Edmonds to extend its corporate limits to
include the following described property by way of annexation:
Beginning on the corporate limits line of the
City of Edmonds, at a point which is the
intersection of the centerline of U. S.
Highway 99 with the Southeasterly prolongation
of the Westerly right-of-way line of Edmonds
Way (SR 104) ; thence Northwesterly, along
said prolongation and the Westerly right-of-
way line of Edmonds Way (SR 104); to an
intersection with the North right-of-way
line of 240th Street S. W.; thence Easterly,
along the North right-of-way line of 240th Street
S. W. produced, to an intersection with the
Easterly right-of-way line of Edmonds vlay (SR 104) ;
thence Southeasterly, along the Easterly right-
of-way line of Edmonds Way (SR 104) and the
Easterly prolongation thereof, to an inter-
section with the centerline of U. S. Highway 99;
thence Southerly, along the centerline of U. S.
Highway 99, to the Point of Beginning.

Section 2. All persons who may desire to object to
the proposed annexation herein mentioned are hereby notified
to appear at the Council Chambers in the Civic Center in the
City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council
on June 16, 1970, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. of said day, then
and there to present their objections thereto, if any they have.
Section 3_ The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
and post notice of said public hearing and the City Attorney
is directed to request waiver of the hearing of the annexation
board of review.
