Resolution 230RESOLUTION NO. -, 3C A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON COMMENDING JONATHAN BROOKS FOR HIS SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by individual citizens, and WHEREAS, said JONATHAN BROOKS has diligently served the City of Edmonds for six years, and the citizens thereof, as a member of the Board of Adjustment, and the Planning Commission, and WHEREAS, JONATHAN BROOKS voluntarily retired from his said position much to the regret of his fellow city officials and Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission members, and WHEREAS, during the time so spent, JONATHAN BROOKS has devoted himself unselfishly and without financial remuneration to the spirit of bettering the community in which he has so painstakingly served, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and effort so spent by JONATHAN BROOKS and that said commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON that JONATHAN BROOKS be hereby commended for his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof and for his guidance in the future and better development of said City, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the said JONATHAN BROOKS and an additional copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect in which JONATHAN BROOKS has been, is and will be held forevermore.
