A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON TO ANNEX BY
ORDINANCE PORTIONS OF A COUNTY ROAD CONTIGUOUS
TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS AND SETTING A DATE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING OF SAID INTENTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington for strictly municipal purposes, finds it in
the public interest for the purpose of maintenance of
utilities and entrance identification that the following
described property should be annexed to the City of
Edmonds and that a public hearing should be called to
hear arguments for and against said intention, now,
therefore.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS., WASHINGTON:
Section 1.
It is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Edmonds to extend its corporate limits to
include the following described property by way of annexation:
That portion of 98th Ave. So. between the
northerly right-of-way line of Edmonds Way
(Secondary State Highway No. 1-W) and the
South boundary line of plat of Olympic View
Estates No. 1, extended, as recorded in
Volume 18 of plats, page 14, Snohomish County,
Washington, all situate in Section 36,
Township 27, Range 3 EWM, Snohomish County,
Washington.
'Se'ction 2. All persons who may desire to object to
the proposed annexation herein mentioned are hereby notified
to appear at the Council Chambers in the Civic Center in the
City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said
Council on February 16, 1971, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. of
said day, then and there to present their objections thereto,
if any they have.
Section 3.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish and post notice of said public hearing and the City
Attorney is directed to request waiver of the hearing of
the annexation board of review.
