A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING EDWARD R. SCOTT FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a com-
munity award public recognition for outstanding public
service rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said EDWARD R. SCOTT has diligently served
the City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, as a member
of the Board of Adjustment, for a period of one decade and
four consecutive years, and
WHEREAS, EDWARD R. SCOTT voluntarily retired from his
said position much to the regret of his fellow city officials
and Board of Adjustment members, and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent, EDWARD R. SCOTT
has devoted himself unselfishly and without financial
remuneration to the spirit of bettering the community in
which he has so painstakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
and the officers and employees of said City deem it only
fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for
the time and effort so spent by EDWARD R. SCOTT and that
said commendation should be made a part of the permanent
records of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that EDWARD R. SCOTT be hereby commended
for his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and
the citizens thereof and for his guidance for the future
and better development of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to the said EDWARD R. SCOTT and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in
order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem
and respect in which EDWARD R. SCOTT has been, is and will
be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 19th day of January,
1971.
