A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
RELINQUISHING ITS RIGHTS UNDER CONTRACT NO. WASH.
OSA-31 (G) FOR A GRANT FOR OPEN -SPACE PURPOSES
THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPOSED PARADISE
PARK.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds by
Resolution No. 184 authorized the Mayor to execute a contract
in behalf of the City of Edmonds with the Department of
Housing and Urban Development, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has notified said Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development that the City of
Edmonds could not proceed with the proposed Paradise Park
acquisition in view of a planned freeway access route over
a substantial portion of the proposed park land, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment has requested confirmation of termination of said
relinquishment of rights under the contract with said Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development by Resolution from
the City Council, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Edmonds hereby relinquishes any and all
rights it may have for the grant of funds for acquisition
of proposed Paradise Park Open -Space Lands pursuant to
Contract No. Wash. OSA-31 (G) previously executed with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development and as previously
authorized by Resolution No. 184 of said City.
