A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING THE STEVENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
FOR ITS CULTURAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE PERFORMING
ARTS.
WHEREAS, in the scheme of urban growth many efforts
are directed in providing the necessities of life including
financial support for medical care, and
WHEREAS, the STEVENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
has for the years last past performed admirably in the
endeavor to raise voluntary funds for the benefit of the
hospital and its patients, and
WHEREAS, with a great deal of effort and perseverance
the STEVENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY for the last past
year undertook to again contribute meaningful financial
support to said hospital and at the same time provide the
community with a family oriented theatrical performance
befitting the community in which it serves, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that the
community award public recognition and appreciation for
outstanding public service, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that the STEVENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
AUXILIARY, and those who made it possible, specifically
including the performers therein and the organizers thereof,
be and the same hereby are commended for their contribution
to the cultural affairs of this community in the performance
of The Music Man, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the STEVENS MEMORIAL
HOSPITAL AUXILIARY be and the same hereby is invited and
encouraged to continue its efforts in the future assuming
volunteer resources may be available to match its recent
success.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 20th day of
April, 1971.
