A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING THE PARTICIPATION OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS IN THE PROPOSED SOUTHWEST
SNOHOMISH COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS
AGENCY AND THE EXECUTION OF AN INTER -LOCAL
COOPERATION AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the cities of Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake
Terrace, Brier and Woodway, together with Snohomish County
and the Snohomish County Fire District No. 1 are desirous
of providing consolidated emergency and public safety
communications and records so as to maximize immediate
availability and effectiveness of service to the public at
minimum cost, and
WHEREAS, said municipal corporations have taken
under consideration the most advantageous method of pro-
viding said services, and
WHEREAS, an Inter -local Cooperation Agreement for
the Southwest Snohomish County Public Safety Communications
Agency has been drafted and reviewed by the governing bodies
of the foregoing municipal corporations and the same have
been found by the City Council of the City of Edmonds to
be satisfactory for the purposes set forth therein, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Edmonds is hereby authorized to partici-
page in the Southwest Snohomish County Public Safety
Communications Agency and the Mayor is authorized to execute
and the City Clerk to attest that document prepared pursuant
to Chapter 39.34 of the Revised Code of Washington (Inter-
local Cooperation Act) entitled "Inter -local Cooperation
Agreement for the Southwest Snohomish County Public Safety
Communications Agency" and the said execution and attestation
is hereby ratified.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edmonds
the 21st day of September, 1971.
