A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL
GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF
SNOHOMISH AND THE CITY OF EDMONDS PURSUANT TO
THE EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971.
WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted the
Emergency Employment Act of 1971 (P.L. 92-54), and
WHEREAS, the United States Government has approved
the application of the County of Snohomish for a grant under
said Act, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds wishes to participate in
the grant as an employing agency, having supplied proposed
programs to the County of Snohomish as the Program Agent
under said Act, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS HEREBY RESOLVES
that the Mayor be and the same hereby is authorized to execute
that contract entitled "Interlocal Governmental Agreement
among the County of Snohomish, and the City of Edmonds", and
the City Clerk to add her attestation thereto, and further to
participate in the program authorized by the Emergency Employ-
ment Act of 1971 pursuant to the terms of said Act; and
The Acting Finance Director and the Chief Administrative
Officer are hereby authorized to establish a revolving fund
from the general and available funds of the City of Edmonds for
participation by the City of Edmonds under said program for
interim financing of the same pending receipt of applicable
federal funds through the coordination of the Program Agent.
