A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
RATIFYING THAT PARTICIPATING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EDMONDS AND THE STATE HIGHWAY
DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING STATE ENTRY AND
CONSTRUCTION UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY BEING
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds has agreed to purchase
certain properties adjacent to the ferry holding area in
connection with SR 104 utilizing in part State funds pursuant
to agreement with the State, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds at
its regular meeting of July 6, 1971, as shown by its duly
authenticated minutes, authorized an agreement between the
City of Edmonds and the State Highway Department for park
improvements adjacent to said ferry holding area, and
WHEREAS, said agreement was entered into between the
City of Edmonds and the State Highway Department by that
agreement referred to as Ferry Landing to Dayton, Partici-
pating Agreement GC 2970 dated September 3, 1971, now,
therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Edmonds, Washington, that said Ferry Landing to Dayton,
Participating Agreement GC 2970, dated September 3, 1971,
be and the same is hereby ratified, and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the terms of
said agreement the State Highway Department is hereby
authorized to enter upon the property which is the subject
matter of said agreement, being Lots 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and
24, Block 2, Gephart's 1st Addition to Edmonds, and make
those park improvements as described in said Participating
Agreement GC 2970.
