A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON COMMENDING NATALIE SHIPPEN
FOR HER SERVICES TO SAID CITY AND THE
CITIZENS THEREOF
WHEREAS,,it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered
byindividual citizens, and
WHEREAS, NATALIE SHIPPEN has diligently served the
City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, as a member of the
Planning Commission since November 1, 1966, having been appointed
by Mayor Gordom Maxwell to so serve, and
WHEREAS, said NATALIE SHIPPEN was unanimously elected by
her fellow members of. the Planning Commission to serve as Chairman
of said Planning Commission at its public hearing on March 20,- 1968,
and served in this capacity until January, 19 69 , and
WtIEREAS, during the time so spent NATALIE SHIPPEN has
devoted herself unselfishly and without financial remuneration
to the spirit of bettering the community, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem1t only fitting that
a commendation should be issued herewith .for the time and effort
so spent by NATALIE SHIPPEN and that said commendation should be
made a part of - the .permanent records of said City of Edmonds, now,
therefore,.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, that NATALIE SHIPPEN be hereby commended for
herunselfish dedi:ca.tion to- the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof and for her guidance for the future and betterr development
of said City., and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of. this Resolution be
furnished to the said NATALIE SHIPPEN and an additional copy be
entered in the permanent records of the City in orderr that the
citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect: in which
NATALIE SHIPPEN has been,,i_s and will be held forevermore.
