A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHING -10 N
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
EDMONDS AND THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, The Snohomish County Housing Authority of Snohomish
County, Washington, has proposed to develop and administer a low -rent
housing project consisting of 60 dwelling units; and
WHEREAS, there exists in the City of Edmonds unsafe and un-
sanitary dwelling accommodations of a number in excess of said 60 units
occupied primarily by senior citizens of low-income, and
WHEREAS, notice of a hearing to be held on the 16th day of May,
1972 was posted in three public places as required by the City Council
of the City of Edmonds in its preceding meeting of May 2, 1972, and
WHEREAS, the hearing was duly held on May 16, 1972 and thereat
the City Council voted to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the
Snohomish County Housing Authority to develop and administer public
housing for persons of low-income and elderly consisting of 60 low-
income dwelling units, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Edmonds are hereby
authorized to execute a Cooperation Agreement between the City of Edmonds
and the Snohomish County Housing Authority to provide 60 units of low -
rent housing for the elderly.
