A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ARTICLES OF INCOR-
PORATION AND RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR THE INCOR-
PORATION OF THE SOUTHWEST SNOHOMISH COUNTY
INTERLOCAL COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Southwest Snohomish County Interlocal Communi-
cations Agency (hereinafter "SNOCOM") was formed by the cities of
Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier and Woodway, together
with Snohomish County and the Snohomish County Fire District No. 1,
authorization of which was granted by City of Edmonds Resolution No. 246
passed by the City Council on the 21st day of September, 1971, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be most expeditious in the
handling of SNOCOM procedures and affairs to incorporate the operating
agency, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RESOLVES
as follows:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign, and the City Clerk to
attest, necessary legal proceedings including, but not limited to, the
articles of incorporation for a nonprofit corporation, to organize and
formalize the SNOCOM operating agency as a nonprofit corporation, and,
further, to sign such related contracts or other instruments necessary
to the operation of said operating agency and nonprofit corporation other
than matters calling for the expenditure of nonbudgeted funds by the City
of Edmonds.
