Cm130212EDMONDS CITY COUNCIL APPROVED MINUTES February 12, 2013 The Edmonds City Council meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Petso in the Council Chambers, 250 5tb Avenue North, Edmonds. The meeting was opened with the flag salute. ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT STAFF PRESENT Lora Petso, Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Taraday, City Attorney Adrienne Fraley-Monillas, Council President Pro Tem Sandy Chase, City Clerk Strom Peterson, Councilmember Joan Bloom, Councilmember Kristiana Johnson, Councilmember ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT Dave Earling, Mayor Frank Yamamoto, Councilmember Diane Buckshnis, Councilmember 1. ROLL CALL City Clerk Sandy Chase called the roll. All elected officials were present except Mayor Earling and Councilmembers Yamamoto and Buckshnis. COUNCILMEMBER FRALEY-MONILLAS MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER PETERSON, TO EXCUSE COUNCILMEMBERS YAMAMOTO AND BUCKSHNIS. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 2. CONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION PER RCW 42.30.110(1)(i). At 5:48 p.m., Mayor Pro Tem Petso announced that the City Council would convene in executive session regarding pending litigation per RCW 42.30.110(1)(i). She stated the executive session would be held in the Jury Meeting Room and was scheduled to last approximately 15 minutes. She noted that executive sessions are not open to the public, and it was anticipated that the Council may take action in open session as a result of meeting in executive session. Mayor Pro Tem Petso further announced that at the conclusion of the executive session the City Council would reconvene in open session in the Council Chambers. Mayor Pro Tem Petso, Council President Pro Tem Fraley-Monillas, Councilmembers Bloom, Peterson, and Johnson, City Attorney Jeff Taraday and City Clerk Sandy Chase attended the executive session. The executive session concluded at 6:04 p.m. 3. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION. POTENTIAL ACTION AS A RESULT OF MEETING IN EXECUTIVE SESSION. At 6:06 p.m., Mayor Pro Tem Petso reconvened the meeting in open session.
