W <br />Dear Mr. Rogers: <br />I have reviewed the above building permit applicationfor the Planning Division,and it was found that the <br />following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressedbefore review can continue: <br />SignDesign: <br />1.The plan sheet for the sign proposed on the southern building façade indicates a <br />rectangular-shaped sign that is 4’ by 11’-7”; however, further down on this plan sheet,itimplies <br />that this sign is not a perfect rectangle and that instead the length at the top of the sign(12’-2”)is <br />narrower than the length at the bottom of the sign(14’-0”).Please revise the sign details such that <br />the proposed sign shapesand dimensions are accurately indicated. <br />Maximum Signage: <br />2.The maximumallowed number of signs for thesubjecttenant space is three, <br />and the maximum allowed sign area for the tenant spaceis equivalent to one square foot per lineal <br />foot of the wall of the tenant space containing the main public entrance. Additionally, the <br />maximum allowed area per proposed sign is equivalent to one square foot per lineal foot of attached <br />wallof the tenant space.In order to determine the maximum allowed sign area for the tenant space <br />as well as for each proposed sign, please respond to the following: <br />a.Your site planappears to be incorrect.The tenant space does not extendtothe west as far as <br />indicated on the site plan. Please revise accordingly. <br />b.Upon review of thedimensions stated on your site plan against the plans from the associated <br />tenant improvement permit (BLD20140357), it was noted that the dimensions provided on your <br />site plan are significantly different than those of the tenant improvement permit. On the plans <br />from the tenant improvement permit, the eastern side of the tenant space scales at 75 feet,and <br />the southern side of the tenant space scales at 65 feet, while your plans indicate 41 feet and 51 <br />feet respectively. Please re-measure the dimensions of the tenant space and provide accurate <br />dimensions on the site plan. <br />Proposed Sign Area: <br />3.As stated above, the maximum allowed total sign area for the tenant space is <br />equivalent to one square foot per lineal foot of the wall of the tenant space containing the main <br />public entrance. Based on the dimensions indicated on the associated tenant improvement permit <br />(BLD20140357), this would yielda maximum total sign area for the tenant space of 65 square feet. <br />Please respond to the following regarding the proposed sign area: <br />a.The proposed sign area is stated incorrectly for both signs on the plans.Proposed sign area <br />must include the entire sign face (i.e. the entire blue aluminum backer). Please revise the <br />proposed sign areas as stated on the plans for both signs such that the entiresign face is <br />included in the sign area. <br />b.As stated above, based on the plans from the associated tenant improvement permit <br />(BLD20140357), the maximum allowed total sign area for this tenant space is65 square feet. <br />The proposed wall signs will need to be reduced in size and/or number in order to comply with <br />the maximum allowed sign area for the tenant space. <br />Page 1of 2 <br /> <br />
