RESOLUTION NO. 486
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO CLOSE CERTAIN
STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS FOR
SLEDDING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on the basis of traffic study and engin-
eering, the Traffic Engineer has recommended the following
streets and portions of streets are suitable for sledding,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the closing
of such streets for sledding purposes will be in the best
interest of the public health, safety and general welfare,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Traffic Engineer is hereby autho-
t:
rized to erect suitable barricades and to close the following
streets or portions of streets to through traffic when, in the
opinion of the Traffic Engineer, weather conditions warrant
the use of these locations for sledding purposes.
Section 2. The streets, or portions of streets,
authorized to be designated for sledding purposes are as
follows:
1. Bell Street - 7th Avenue North to 8th Avenue North;
2. 203rd.Place Southwest - Maplewood Drive to 88th Avenue
West;
3. 215th Street Southwest - 76th Avenue West to 73rd Place
West;

- 92nd Avenue West to 96th Avenue
West;
5.
75th Place West - 75th
Avenue West to 74th Avenue West;
6.
192nd Place Southwest
- 92nd Avenue West to 94th Avenue
West;
7.
Cyprus Place - Talbot
Road to end of street right -of -way;
8.
72nd Avenue West - 176th
Street Southwest to 175th
Street Southwest.
