Resolution 496WDT /al 4/30/81 RESOLUTION NO. 496 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, SUSPENDING THE NO PARKING AFTER 10:00 P.M. RESTRIC- TION ON THE WEST SIDE OF.- SUNSET FROM BELL TO CASPER ON JULY 4, 1981, AND AUTHORIZING THE COLLECTION OF "A $1.00 PER CAR PARKING FEE ON ALL STREETS WEST OF THIRD FROM CASPER TO PINE. WHEREAS, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is spon- soring a Fourth of July fireworks display off Brackett's Landing in Edmonds, Washington, with the assistance of other civic organizations, and WHEREAS, the parking restrictions on Sunset should be suspended for the Fourth of July fireworks celebration in order to accomodate the citizens viewing the display, and WHEREAS, the City will expend sums for increased police protection and cleanup activities which should be offset by imposition of a $1.00 per car parking charge for persons parking in the area to view the fireworks display, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The No Parking After 10:00 PM restric- tion on the west side of Sunset Avenue from Bell to Casper, as set forth in Section 8.64.065(2) of the Edmonds City Code, shall be suspended during the period from 10:00 p.m. July 4, 1981, to 1:00 a.m. July 5, 1981. -1- I I' Section 2. The Edmonds Police Department and per- sons acting under its direction and control, are hereby authorized to collect .a fee of $1.00 per car for vehicles parking after 6:00 p.m. on City streets in the area west of Third between Pine and Casper.
