Ordinance 29650006.030.003A WSS /are 12/07/93 rev: 01/10/94 ORDINANCE NO. 2965 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 2909, 2931 AND 2963, TO AMEND THE FINAL BUDGET AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED FOR THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1993, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. WHEREAS, the City Council is required to adopt the budget for the fiscal year 1993 prior to commencement of said year, and WHEREAS, final determination of unexpended fund balances can only be estimated at the time of the adoption of said budget, and revenues actually received often times exceed conservative fiscal estimates, and WHEREAS, unanticipated needs for expenditures of funds which could not have reasonably been anticipated at the time of the formulation of the budget arise from time to time, and WHEREAS, the amendments set forth in this ordinance supplement amendments confirmed in Ordinance 2963, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 2909 adopting the final budget for the fiscal year 1993, is hereby amended to reflect the following additional changes to those previously confirmed by Ordinance Nos. 2931 and 2963: A. Street Beautification Fund #114 - Increase appropriations and decrease ending cash balance, each by $6,300. 62395.2 -1- B. Gift Catalog Fund #127 - Increase revenues and appropriations, each by $670. C. Cemetery Improvement Fund #130 - Increase revenues and appropriations, each by $3,140. D. Shared Revenue - Community Development Fund #191 - Increase revenues and appropriations, each by $1,430. E. Capital Improvement Fund #325 - Increase revenues and appropriations, each by $120,320. Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes to the 1993 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance and prior Ordinance Nos. 2931 and 2963. Section 3. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. Section 4. Effective Date.
