Edmonds Arts Commission
Frances Anderson Center
700 Main Street
Edmonds, WA 98020
Dear Commissioners:
I'd like to express my interest in becoming the next team member of the Arts Commission for the City of
Edmonds. I am so impressed with our newly minted title of being the only Arts District in the State. I
would love for this title to become a trademark for our city and implement various ways to promote it. I
would increase outreach to diverse communities to make our city as vibrant and diverse as the people
who reside here and those who come to visit.
I have been interested in the arts, culture, historic preservation and photography all my life and
currently staff a King County Councilmember on these important issues. I've studied art history &
design and I love learning new ways to incorporate the arts in our daily lives. I believe art & culture are
truly paramount for everyone, as it relieves stress and brings diverse communities together. It increases
our quality of life and makes our neighborhoods safer. I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of
such a vital process for our lovely city of Edmonds.
I thank you for your time and consideration.
Cheers,
1
