Interim Ordinances: • Ordinance No. 3935 – Adopting an Interim Zoning Ordinance to amend the Critical Areas Ordinance, specifically Sections ECDC 23.40.22O, 23.40.320, 23.50.020, 23.50.040, and 23.90.040, to allow development within legally established impervious areas and within buffer areas that are physically separated and functionally isolated from an associated critical area. The effective date of the ordinance is 08-16-2013; effective for 180 days; expires 02-12-2014. • Ordinance No. 3960 –relating to collective gardens and the recreational use of marijuana, extending a moratorium established by Ordinance No. 3938 on the siting, establishment and operation of any structures or uses relating to collective gardens, marijuana production, marijuana processing, or marijuana retailing, to be in effect until the city of Edmonds adopts zoning regulations addressing such marijuana uses, and extending a moratorium on the submission of any business license applications for such uses, setting three months as the effective period of the extended moratorium establishing the date of the public hearing on the extended moratorium. This ordinance requires a public hearing within 60 days of adoption. During the next Council meeting immediately following the hearing, the City Council shall adopt findings of fact on the subject of this moratorium and either justify its continued imposition or cancel the moratorium. The date of adoption is 02-04-14; effective for 3 months after effective date of 02-14-14, expires 05-15-14.
