The Mayor brought up the Question of the.sidewalks and streets being used by the owners ._of Bicycles. After due deliberation of the question it was•moved by Callahan and aeoonded by Hhreid that the City Attorney be instructed to amend Ordinance N;o.91 to 're'ad: It shall be unlawful ride 'a Bicycle upon the Stkeets 'and other public places with out first having a lio'enee fo';r their bicycle. the lioei2s'e fee shall be Fifty ( o50ots ) Cents per year- Motion carried. The Fire Department reported that the Department was in need of 200 ft. of 2--inch Fire Hose. Om motion the Fire Department was instructed to,purohase 200 ft. of 22 inch Fire Hose. On motion the Council ordered a warrant drawn on the Current Expenoe Fund in favor of the Trunk Sewer Fund for reimbursement of the $22.5.00 paid uut for Interest. On motion the Council instructed the City Engineer to purcbas 475 feet sewer tile at the same price to be delivered P*O*B. ,Edmonds. Ori motion the Council instructed the City Clerk to draw a warrant to pay fo. the damage done Jas. Astells car while performing police dut.* Halloween night. The minutes of the last regular meeting and adjorned meeting were read and approved. meeting committe on the Date property reported that nothing had been done `ihe committe was continioned. The City Attorney having completed the drawing of the contract for the sale of the Conner property except as to the insurance, the Council on motion instructed.. -the Attorney to insert one thousand ($1000,00) Dollars µ-to be paid to toN."-Ity as their interest shall appear9 and that he policy shall remain" -with' -the City Clerk during such time. The question of the purchase of a second hand grader was brought up s. by the Mayor.` After due consideration it was moved by Chandler and seconded by Martin that we purchase the Diesel Oil Grader, on condition that the Deesel Oil Company in the following condition: put in new ring assembly, new scarfire teeth, vulcanize the damaged tire and repair the water pump. Purchase price to be $750,00 f.o.b. Edmonds. The vote was as follows: Chandler, yes; Hareid yes; Clausen yes; Martin yes; Jones yes. Carried by unanaimous vote of the Councilmen present.
