<br />A motion was made by Savage and seconded by Jones that the following bills
<br />which approved by the •finance committee be allowed and warrants be drawn on'
<br />the proper funds. Carried.

<br />The clerk read the State :auditors report to the.City Council, which showed
<br />that the Clerk's,. Treasurer's and Plater collectors books .yere in good order.
<br />The Council received one bid for four inch Century Lstestos Cement. Pipe
<br />form H. L. 2owler Co. at a price of 58/ per linial foot. A motion was made
<br />by Clausen and seconded by Savage.that this bicl be taken under consideration
<br />until the next meeting. of the Coan.cil. Motion carried.
<br />Policeman Montgomery reported that the police department was badly in need
<br />of a truck for the Police Department.. This was laid over until the next
<br />meeting of the Council. t,
<br />A motion was made by McGibbon and seconded by Jones that the old resouvoir
<br />on 'Mein and Ninth streets be drained, Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made .by Clausen and seconded by. Mcgibbon that the Council
<br />sell lots 15 and 1G in Block 120 tb Charles BOW for $450. Motion
<br />carried by a unaminous vote of the Council.
<br />A motion was made by Clausen and seconded by McDonell that the clerk call
<br />for bids on the sewer, :when the plans and specifications are ready.• Motion
<br />A motion was made by Savage and seconded -by McDonell that the water supt.
<br />purchase 1000 feet ofrFour••winch Universal Cast Iron pipe. Motion .carried.

<br />A motion was made by Savage end, seconded by McDonell that the bills of Ray
<br />Mcleever for labor on water 32 and on the street. for $40 be allowed.

<br />A le Ver was read, by the Clerk thet . ?ointer , ililliamett Co. had written to
<br />the Department of Public Service in regards to the installing of the signals -
<br />at the two railroad crossings,, that no action had.been taken, and that they
<br />would appreciate any cooperating in the matter. A motion was made by
<br />Savage a.nd seconded by Mcdonell.tha.t the Clerk Write to the De> rtment of
<br />Public Service and find out the speed limitApr trains through the City of
<br />Edmonds t .Nylot ion carried..
<br />Chief of Police appeared before ,the Council and,stated that the police
<br />department needed a car,, that it"impossible to cover the City without a
<br />car also to catch those who are speeding.through the City. It was sug-
<br />gested that the trucks which was used for W.P.1 work be used. A motion
<br />was made by Savage and seconded by Chandler that the Chief of Police
<br />inquiry as to the expense for repairing said truck and report at the next
<br />meeting of the Council. Motion carried.
