Main Street, in the City -of Edmonds, <br />from Fifth Street to Sixth Street by paving the center strip of said street <br />with hot plant -mixed asphaltic concrete, and such other work as may be <br />necessary to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with resol- <br />ution of Intention No.*115 of the City -of Edmonds, as the same now stands <br />be and the same is hereby in all things approved. <br />Section 2: That each of the lots, tracts and parcels, of land., or tither <br />property shown on said roll, is hereby declared to be specially benefitted <br />.by said improvement,in at least the amount charged against the same, and <br />that the assessment appearing against the same is in proportion to the <br />several assessments appearing upon said Roll, and there is hereby levied <br />an assessment against each lot, tract and parcel- of land and other prop- <br />.erty,appearing upon said Roll in the amount finally charged against the <br />same thereon. <br />Sbotion 3: That the let day of April, 1947 is hereby fixed as the date <br />of the issuance of the Bonds required to be issued on ao.00unt-of said im- <br />provement. <br />F. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by McGinness and seconded by Maxwell that the buying of <br />fitting for the raising of water meters be referred to the water committee. <br />A,motion was made by Clausen and seconded by Waggoner, that the water Supt. <br />be authorized to purchase what he needs for the raising of water meters. <br />motion carried. <br />A'motion was made by McGibbon and seconded by Waggoner that -the Council <br />consider the outfall project and the matching funds be used on this pro- <br />jeot. Passed by a.unaminous vote of the Council. <br />A,motion was made by McGibbon and seconded by.Waggoner that the attorney <br />draw up an emergency Ordinance for-$6120 to cover the cost of the City's <br />expense for the extending of the sewer. Lotion carrie d <br />Mr. Allen came before the Council-ancl asked to have a larger water line <br />run along sixth avenue North. He stated there were six users of the '1 <br />inch line and in the summer time they did not have }}� ieient water. He <br />'aleo�asked to have a light installed on -sixth aven4d to have the street <br />extended. He was advised to have,& petition drawn up and signet% by the <br />property owners. <br />A motion was made by McGibbon and seconded by Clausen that -the treasurer <br />negiotate with Mr. Cleveland at the Bank in regards toinvesting the <br />some of the money now in the bank. Motion oarried. Councilman S1,efert <br />voted no. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />QiE`v'a4:� <br />February 18, 1947 <br />The'Council met in regular session with Mayor Fourtner presiding. The roll <br />call showed the following councilmen present McGibbon, Waggoner, Tucker, <br />McGinness Siefert Clausen and Maxwell. <br />Ordinance No. 565 was read to the Council. <br />An Ordinance approving and confirming the assessment and assessment roll <br />of Local Improvement District No. 58 for the improvement of Lain Street <br />in the City of Edmonds from Fifth Street to Sixth Street by paving the <br />center strip of said Street with hot plant -mixed asphaltic concrete, and <br />such other -work as may be necessary to make a eomplete.improvemeni all in <br />accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 115 of the Gity of Edmonds, <br />levying an assessment on account thereof against the several lots, tracts <br />and parcels of land as shown on said Roll; providind for the issuance of <br />Bonds therefor and fixing the date of the issuance thereof. <br />A motion was made by McGibbon and seconded by MoGinness that Ordinance No. <br />565 be adopted. Passed by a unaminous vote of the council.. <br />
