Ordinance No.. 568 <br />An Ordinance amending Seotion 6 of Ordinance No. 412 as amended,by Section <br />1 of Ordinance No. 543 of the City of 'Edmonds relating to tapping fees for <br />the installation of water service by the Water Department of said City. <br />The City of Edmonds Does Ordain: <br />Section 1: That S'eotion 6 of Ordinance No. 412, as amended by Section 1, <br />of Ordinance No. 543 of the City ofEdmonds, be and the same is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />Section 6: No service connection less than three -fourths (3/4) <br />inch in size shall be installed. <br />Tapping fees for the installetion of water service, as hereinbefore <br />provided,- within the city limits of the,City of Edmonds shall be as follows: <br />For a three -fourths (3/4) inch connection---------- 840.00 , <br />For a one (1) inch connection----- --------- 60.00 <br />For sizes larger than one (1) inch, or where it becomea necessary. <br />to install service pipe under paving, the actual cost of labor- and <br />material used in laying such a service and replAoing the pavement <br />shall be charged. <br />For the installinn ;of water service outside of.the city limits of <br />the City of Edmonds the, actual cost of.labor and materials used <br />in laying such a service and replacing the pavement shall be <br />charged, but in no event shall.such service be less than $100.-00 <br />Tapping fees shall be paid inadvance and in cases where the cost <br />is not known the applicant shall pay the estimated cost and the pro- <br />per adjustment shall be made after -the actual cost is known to the <br />Superintendent. <br />Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and <br />effect upon its passage and publication as provided by law... <br />i. Motion carried. <br />Councilman McGinness reported that no action be taken on the part of the <br />City in regards to the gutter which was put in t f Fran lin�,�r„o,ert . <br />He also reported that the, street committee rec"W' of 41. Mee <br />septic tanks to take care of the sewerage on First and Main Streets. <br />It was suggested that the busses coming in from Richmond Beach use Walnut <br />Street -instead of Howell way, which is a narrow street. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Maxwell and seconded by Council Waggoner that the Clerk Witte <br />Yost Auto Co. 'of this change in route. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Fourtner reported that the Chamber of Commerce is will to take the <br />census for the City. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />City Clerk Mayor i' k <br />May 20, 1947 <br />The Council met in regular session with Mayor fourtner presiding, the roll <br />call showed the following Councilmen present,, McGibbon, Tucker, McGinness, <br />Siefert, Clausen and Maxwell. <br />A letter was read from the Crescent Laundry for claims for damages.done by <br />dirty water. A motion was made by Councilman McGibbon and seconded by <br />Councilman McGinness that this be referred to the Water Committee for further <br />consideration. Motion carried. <br />APpetition was read from the property owners on North Sixth Avenue for sewers <br />by forming a Local Improvement District. This was referred to the Engineer <br />The matterof assessment against lots 1 and 2 in Block 120 was referred to <br />the City Attorney for advice. <br />
