Application for .oe.easioned use <br />by any organization.shall be made to the council at regular scheduled meetings <br />and each application shall be considered on its merits. <br />Motion carried. <br />A let -ter was read from the Department of Public Lands in regards to the <br />rental of the tide lands for -which a lease was applied fox. It is stated <br />in the letter.that the rental -figure of $75 can not be changed for rental <br />over.a period of ten years. A'motion was made.by councilman Waggoner and <br />seconded by councilman McGibbon that the ten.year lease with the rental <br />feee of $75' per year be ace'epted. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tucker reported the going over the water site for location of <br />more water. The Clerk was adked to write to the state and find out if there <br />are any water rites against shell creek. <br />A. motion was made ,by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman McGibbon <br />that Ordinance No. 582 for the -seal -coating of Front Street Etc. be adopted <br />and published. A roll call vote showed a unaminous vote of the council. <br />A motion was made by councilman McGibb.on and seconded by councilman Tucker <br />that the superintnedent of each department turn in a list of anticipated <br />expense for next year. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman McGibbon and seconded by councilman Tucker <br />that the clerk furnish the new budget forms at, the next council meeting. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman McGibbon and seconded by councilman McGinness <br />that the attorney give his opinion :on creating a sinking fund. Motion carried:. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tucker <br />that the water Supt. take his vacation for two weeks beginning August 9. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman 'fucker and seconded by councilman Siefert <br />that we call for bids for a testing station 22X 125 feet, 4 inches thick <br />to comply tith the state specifications, to be located at the S. E.. corner <br />of the City 'ark. A roll call vote showed McGibbon yes, ducker yes, Waggoner 2 <br />Siefert no, McGinness no, Clausen no and Maxwell.no. <br />A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Tucker <br />that za testing strip be located on six and half street between Dayton and <br />Main streets. A roll call vote showed McGibbon no, Tucker yes; Waggoner yes, <br />Siefert yes, McGinness yes, Clausen no and Maxwell yes. <br />A motion was made by councilman Waggoner and seconded by councilman Maxwell <br />that information be obtained in writing that it will be used be referred to <br />the safety committee. Motion carried. <br />There ueing no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />City Clerk Mayor <br />August 179 1948 <br />The Council met in regular'session with Mayor Pourtner presiding. The roll <br />oall shoved the following councilmen present McGibbon, Tucker, McGinness, <br />Siefert Clausen and Maxwell. <br />The question of pin -ball machines was turned over to the committee for reo- <br />ommendation by a motion made.by councilman Siefert and seconded by councilman <br />Tucker. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Fourtner stated that the property owners on six and half street between <br />Main and Dayton°were objecting to the testing station being put on that <br />street. A motion was made by.counoilman Tucker and seconded by councilman <br />MoGinnese to reconsider the location of the testing station.
