A motion was madeby councilman Tucker and seconded by councilman Maxwell <br />that the City Supt. be paid $20 for extra time from the street fund also <br />the �ass't be paid $20, and the Asst.. on the water dept. be paid $20 for <br />extra pay on the water department, subject to the opinion of the Ittorney. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Holmquist and seconded by councilman Miller that <br />the property authorities be contacted in regards to house delivery of mail. Motion <br />carried. <br />Therebeing Znourther business e meeting djour <br />August 21, 1951 <br />:The Council met.forJits regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The roll <br />call showed the following councilmen present Holmquist, Tucker,' Tuson, Engels, Vollan <br />and Iulaxwell. <br />ThboTreasurers reporttwas read to the Council. The Clerk reported a water collection of $6593.60 <br />with an .out standing of bills to the 9-irnount of $1650. <br />A letter was read from Postmaster Otto Sorensen in regards to house delivery of mail. <br />Councilman Tuson was asked to contact the Post master to f ind out what else is reguired <br />for house delivery. <br />As this was the night set for the hearing on re -zoning of the property at the NorthEast <br />corner of second and Edmonds street with no protests, a motion was made by councilman <br />Tucker and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the re -zoning be allowed. Councilman <br />Vollan made an amendment to the motion with a second from Tucker that this property <br />be included in the fire zone. A vote on the motion as amended carried, also a vote on <br />—the motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Tucker and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the <br />question of a shingled roof in the commercial zone be referr.edto the committee. <br />The motion and second was withdrawn., <br />Attorney Holte reported that bicycles must have a head and tail light at night, also <br />they must stay off the sidewalks. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tucker that a letter <br />be written to the Post Master requesting a survey of the City from the Post Office <br />Department. Iviotion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Tucker and secondedby councilman Maxwell that the five <br />water customers on Tenth avenue South be notified by the Attorney that water service will <br />be discontinueel as of December 1. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tuson reported the grader needed repairing and was athorized to get estimates <br />on the cost. <br />Councilman Maxwell statedcosts,for-repair$n&o facility the city jail will be obtained. <br />There being no fut1h,er busi ss the meeting adjo ned. - <br />City clerk Mayor <br />September 4, 1951 <br />The Council met for its regular session with Mayor hrtcGibbon presiding. The roll call <br />showed the following councilmen present Holmquist, Tucker, Tuson, Engels, Vollan, and <br />Maxwell. <br />The Water Collectors report was read to the Council. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Engels that the <br />bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn <br />on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tucker that two <br />hydrants be installed one on Six and Half street and one on Admiral Way.
