Lawson was instructed to make application for such exemption, effective March first. Therebeing no further busines the meeting adjourned. City Clerk Mayor December 4, 1951 The Council met=for its regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The roll call showed the following councilmen present Holmquist, Tucker, Tuson, Vollan, Maxwell and Miller. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson that the bills ifhich were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried. The water collectors report was read. Eight bids were received for the laying of 2600 feet of cast iron pipe and installing of hydrants. Bid from Deer Construction Co., for 95 cents per foot and t�50 for installion per hydrant, Joe Oalluccio, 950 and 6`30 for each hydrant, Halleran Brothers �1.90 and $20 for.each hydrant, A. Jakoboni �1.10 for digging and laying pipe, and "50 for each hydrant, E. D. Hanson 780 per foot for di Bind and laying pipe, Arnold Camandona 60 per foot and placing hydrants $30 each, Lario Libri, 85 cents perfoot for laying and digging and $35 each for h�tdrants, and a bid from James Davis for digging and laying of pipe 59 cents. r A motion was made by councilman Tuson and seconded by councilman Tucker that we accept the low bid of James Davis for 59cents and the attorney draw up the contract. Motion carried. A motion was made by councilman Tucker and seconded ny councilman Miller that -the City ,,purchase lots 20 and 21 in block 41 for the amount of �26.39y for =tarx title;" from the County. Motion carried. A petition for a sewer in the alley between Third and Fourth Avenue in the City Park Addition #t2 was presented to the Council -with the signatures of Mr. and Mrs. tiNickstrom, the owners of the property. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tuson that we accept the petition and the Attorney be instructed to set up L. I. D. # 65. .Motion carried. Ordinance No. 616 was read the first time to the Council. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Tucker that the Clerk call for bads on the sewer, bids to be opened December 18, at 8 otclock P. 11. Motion carried. Supt. Lawson was instructed to marl: a loading zone on the -west side of Fifth and Main street. Attorney Holte reported to the Council that a settlement had been made with Mr. Jannsen in the amount of �4200, for the suit against him. The Treasurers report was read to the,Council., A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Vollan that Ordinance No. 616 be passed and puRki.shed. Motion. carried. Mayor McGibbon being present the Council prodeeded with its regular business. Four bids were received for the sewer in the alley between Third and Fourth Avenues between Erben Drive and Pine street. The bid from E. D. Hanson in the amount of W633.10, from Tony Perelli for $2158.16, from Joe Coluccio in the amount of $2146.50) and the one from 0. K. Ryland for 1?2426.20. After some consideration by the Street and sewer committee a motion was made by councilman Tuson and seconded by Councilman Maxwell that the bid be awarded to Joe Colluccio. Motion carried. 1 1 1 1
