After some time <br />being spent answering questions, he agreed to re write the contract, that we would <br />have this letter within a week, also that we would receive a pre -design of the <br />sewer disposal plant within 30 days. <br />Engineer. Reid brought in a preliminary estimate cost for laying of pipe on Tenth <br />and Terrace Road for 43811, with a re-imbursement from Mr. Gerdon of 01834.80 his <br />share of the cost. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded byeouncilman Kincaid <br />that Mayor McGibbon be authorized to sign the contract of Leon R. Grizzell for <br />laying of the pipe the cost to be $860.92, after Mr. Grizzell signs the contract <br />and five days be allowed to furnish a preformance bond. The roll <br />,-call showed the following councilmen"present Tuson, Talen, Kincaid, Maxwell, Bishop <br />and McGinness.'. <br />The water collectors and treasurers reports were read to the Council. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Bishop that the <br />bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn <br />on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />A letter was readfrom Frances E. Anderson, secretary of the Library Boadd stating <br />that the board has reappointed Mrs. Clara E. Strance to another term on the board, <br />and asked that the Mayor and council confirm the appointment. A motion was made by <br />councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman Tuson that the appointment be confirmed. <br />,4 <br />Motion carried. t, <br />A motion was made by,councilman Tuson and seconded by councilman Kincaid that Em. <br />Ordinance #649, for the payment of $1800 from the park fund, for the purchase of <br />the school property, . The roll <br />call showed the following councilmen present Tuson, Talen Kincaid, Maxwell and <br />Bishop. <br />The letter from Mr. Culver was read to the council and referred to the street <br />committee. <br />A letter was read from Associated Sand & Gravel stating that the concret mix that <br />was used for L. I. D. 72 was in compliance wit Washington State Highway Department <br />specifications for Class A. <br />A letter was read from Fred A. Cochran stating that the rains are causing the erosion <br />of the earth at tenth and Maple street. This was referred to the Witerteand s6wer <br />committee. <br />A report from the Treasurer showed a ddficit in the street fund of a2355.19, this <br />was also referred to the stredt c ommittee. <br />A letter was read from Carey & Kramer, A motion was made by oouncilman Maxwell and <br />seconded by councilman Tuson that Attorney Holte notify Carey & Kramer that their <br />contract is cancelled. Motion carried. <br />
