Motion carried. <br />Therebeing no further business the meeting j9urn�. a <br />City Clerk ayor <br />April 6, 1954 <br />The Council met for its regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding. The roll <br />call showed the following councilmen present Tuson, Talen, Kincaid, Maxwell, Bishop <br />and McGinness. <br />The water collectors and treasurers reports were read to the council. <br />A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Kincaid that the <br />bills which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn <br />on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />A -letter from the 'School District requesting that holes be drilled on Main and Dayton <br />street for their school signs was referred to the street committee. <br />A letter requesting a water line on B street was referred to, the water committee. <br />A letter was read from Grande & co. stating they would like to bid on the warrants and <br />bonds for the proposed sewer for south Edmonds. The Clerk was asked to keep this letter <br />on file. <br />Five bids were received for the roof for the reservoir at ninth and main street. <br />Newland construction,co, $5073, LeVerne Neff $4,948.34, Wayne Construction Co., <br />44,676, Ralph Kgffler, $$6,407.611 and.Art Beam Construction Co., $4,619. A motion <br />was made by councilman Kincaid and seconded by councilman Maxwell that the low bid <br />Art Beam construction Co., for $4,619 be accepted. Motion carried. <br />One bid was received for a used grader, from Earl Joplin for $2500. A mothon was <br />made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman McGinness that ice accept the <br />bid..
