Davis in regards to noise that he is getting when the valve <br />is turned on for izbing .!ofLLU--derwood water, was referred to the .water committee. <br />A motion was made by councilman Bishop and seconded by councilman Kincaid that per- <br />mission be granted for Jehovah Witness to erect a banner across Fifth avenue but <br />he must comply with the State Highway and City regulations on regards to the heighth. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Talen and seconded by councilman Bishop the 1iequest of Mrs.'W ilkes <br />.to put a trailer on the bakk of her property be denied and Attorney Hall is'to write <br />;to her informing her of the Council action. Motion carried. <br />A .motion was made by council.mai$uson and seconded by councilman Bishop that the balance <br />be paid to Harold Kaesar, on the intercepter sewer, in the apount of $1789.29, upon <br />receipt ocean affidavit that all bills incurred are paid. M tion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Sommerseth and seconded by councilman Talen that <br />Chief Grimstad notify Mr. McKinley to'remove the obstructions at Sixth and Edmonds <br />street, that are in the sidewalk area. rlption carried. <br />r <br />A motion was made by Founcilman Bishop.and seconded by councilman Kincaid that the <br />information on the painting the steel Water tank at tenth & Maple street be turned <br />over to the water committee. I'otion carried. <br />A motion was made by councilman Kincaid and seconded by Councilman Sommerseth <br />Authorizing Councilman Tuson to get in touch with the Independent Sheet Pdetal ;corks <br />in,regards to repairing the Library roof, the cost not to exceed 3500. Motion carried. <br />A motion fyh, J y�councilriian Tuson and seconded by councilman Talen. that we call <br />for bids orb t of eight inch cast iron pipe, bids to be opened August 2. <br />Motion carried., <br />r <br />A motion was made by councilmanAiaon and seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the <br />three companies umping into our sewer be notified that we are canceling our agreement <br />with them �� 6,11 carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson and seconded by councilman Talen that permission <br />be given to install the sewer in the plat of View Manor, under the supervision of the <br />Engineer Reid, the cost including manhole and other appurtenances to be assumed by <br />the owner, in lieu of $200 hook an charge, due to the fact it exceeds the cost of the adjoining <br />L. Motion carried. , <br />Therebeing no further busine the meeting adjourned. <br />City Clerk Mayor <br />y 5, 1955 <br />The Council met for its regular session with Mayor Maxwell presiding. The roll <br />call showed the following councilmen present Tuson, Talen, Kincaid, Cloud, Bishop <br />and Sommerseth. <br />The water collectors report was read to the Council. <br />A motion was ,made by Couhcilman Kincaid and seconded by councilman Talen that the <br />bil <br />ls which were approved by the auditing committee be allowed and warrants be drawn <br />on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />Engineery Reid reported on a preliminary plat adjacent to our water shed, had been <br />approved by the County Commissioners. A motion was made by Councilman Tuson and seconded <br />by Councilman Bishop that Attorney Holte write to the,County Commissioners stating <br />the the City of Edmonds is opposed to this plat, also that we were not notified'of <br />said hearing, and that we request a final approval of the plat. Motion carried. <br />Engineer Reid also reported that Mr. King is planning on raising the grade at tenth <br />and Daley street one foot. <br />
