A motion was�made by councilman Talen and seconded by councilman Bishop that Res- olution of Intention No. 126, for the installation of a sewer on Cedar Street be passed. Alotion carried. A bid of $406.10 for painting the City Hall was turned over to the Mayor. A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid and seconded by Councilman Talen that Attorney Holte obtain Title report4 on Tenth Avenue North extended. Motion carried. A motion was made by Councilman Talen and seconded by Councilman Kincaid that a transmitter and receiver unit for the fire truck be, purchased, 50% of the cost to be borne by the Snohomish County Civil Defense. The Rdll call showed the following councilmen present Tuson, Talen, Kincaid, Cloud, Bishop and Steed. Three bids were received for the warrants and bonds on L. I. D. #77. One from G ande & Co., wit& an interest rate of 44% fer the warrants and Bonds, and they will pay $100.12 of the par value for the bonds, plus accrued interest, Pacific Northwest.Co., interest rate of 4 5/8%. and agree to pay $100 per•$100 par value for; for the warrants and 1100.28 per $100 par value for all bonds issued; the bid from Terry Thompson is for 42% interest on warrants and bonds, he will pay $100,00 for .each $100 for the warrants and $100.09 per each. $100 on the bonds: A notion was made by Councilman Tuson and seconded by Councilman Talen that we accept the bid from Grande & Co., for 4;;/e- interest on the warrants and Bonds. Motion carried. This was the night set for the hearing on Emergency Ordinance # 680. A motion was made by councilman Tuson and seconded by Councilman Kincaid that Em. Ordinance # 680, for the printing of.the Zoning Code and the Subdivision Code, for $1000, be passed. Motion carried. This was also..the night set for a hearing for annexating that portion of lots 9 & 10 Block five, Alderwood Manor No. 9 lying contiguous to the City of Edmonds. A -motion was made by Councilman Tuson and seconded by Councilman Talen that Ord. #681 annexation section to the city Motion carried. _ Mr. Blair came before the council in regards to a parking problem in front of his property on Fifth Avenue. He stated he was willing to have the curb and gutter and a driveway put in, which will take care of this condition. Engineer Reid reported to the Council on the developing the street west of the Railroad tracts from Main to Dayton street. Engineer Reid stated plans would be ready for opening of bids for the Sewer Disposal Plant Sept. 4. A release of CWm for Damages was received and filed from G. Mason Hall. A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid and secondedby Councilman Tuson that Mr. Nels Lindh be employed to repair the porch, sidewalk and sewer, not to exceed w300. Motion carried. A motion was made by counci Tuson and seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the bid from Harry Squires for'$1100 plus negiotated cost of street crossing, by water back fillingpLinstalling two hydrants. The City is to pay the extra cost between the four inch and six inch"pipe, the c ost.of hauling the pipe to be added to the 1 cost of pipe. Motion carried. A letter was read to the council from the Open Bible Church asking for permission to extend their building one foot over the sidewalk.
