August 21, 1956. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />The Council met for its regular session with Councilman Tuson serving as M,pyor in <br />the absence of 14ayor Maxwell. The roll call showed the following Councilmen present <br />Tuson, Talen, Cloud, Bishop and Sommerseth. <br />Mrs..Alden Kane came before the Council in regards to a water condition that comes <br />on her property and under the house. This was referred to the water committee to <br />investigate. <br />The Treasurers report for July was read to the Council <br />A letter was read from Mrs. W. E. Allen asking to have Sixth Avenue North improved. <br />This wasrefel"red to the street committee. <br />A letter was -read from Gil Mathews in regards to cutting the alder trees at the South <br />Edmonds pump lot. `This was referred to.Supt. Lawson for a report at the next meeting. <br />A list of property with delinquent taxes was received from the County Treasurer. A <br />motion was made by Councilman b,o�p?�gLaerseth and seconded by Councilman Bishop that Attorney <br />Holte look into this and see i�'value of the property. Motion carried. <br />The Cost tabulation prepared by Engineer Reid was submitted to the council for the <br />Cassell Plat of Brookmere Park, North of Casper street. Mr. Cassell is to pay the <br />Water Department $3,060.69 , the cost to install 1100 feet of four inch C. I. pipe, <br />two fire hydrants and valves, the city paying the cost of six inch pipe and gate <br />valve and tee, total city cost of $9UDO, total project cost of $3,958.00. A <br />motion was made by councilman Bishop and second ed by councilman. Talon $3060.69 <br />be paid by fir. Cassell for laying of water pipe, asdoutlined by Engineer Reid. <br />Motion carried. <br />A check was received from Mr. Thomas for $1527 for the balance of the street work <br />to be done in the Thomas Plat. <br />A motion was made by councilman Bishop and seconde�by, guwilm # ommereeth that <br />Interest bearing; warrant #1 be issued to Grande Go ow . 1. D. 77, Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman 'Tuso n and seconded by councilman Talon that the bills <br />for 150.00 for painting the city hall, Thorborn 8, Logozo for $772.44 partial payment <br />for installing water line, and James H. Reid for engineering L. I. D. #7? for $3000.00 <br />be paid. Motion carried. \ <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bishop and seconded by Councilman Sommerseth that a <br />charge of 500 per book be charged for the zoning code including the map and the <br />subdivision ordinance. Motion carried. <br />The problem of water at the Great Northern Railroad depot was referred to Engineer <br />Reid. <br />A motion was made by Councilman T len and seconded by Councilman Bishop for Attorney <br />I1olte to write a letter to Mrs. A B.
