Motion carried. <br />A letter, received by Mayor Maxwell from Builders Equipment Rental Inc., stating that M. & S. Construction Co. <br />owes $200 .00 for rental of a scraper used on the work on LID #85, was referred to Attbrney Holte. <br />A petition signed by 12 residents of Seamont Lane requesting a street light was received. A motion was made <br />by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Christensen that a street light be authorized on Seamont Lane on <br />the existing light pole midway along said street; the clerk to write a letter to the PUD requesting same. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that the Preliminary Budget for 1959 <br />be passed. Motion carried. <br />A request was received from Frank Handiverk to install 811 sewer and a manhole on the west side of 13th, <br />between Bowdoin V+ay and Laurel St. to serve his divided property; all costs paid by him in lieu of the City <br />installation charges, and the Lity to own that part of the sewer in the right of way. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by 1�ouncilinan Lambe that Frank Handwerk be authorized to =-- <br />conttruct sewer as specified, under the specifications of the City Engineer, and the City waive the <br />$600. hook -,up fee. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that the Town of 11.1oodway be notified <br />that the City of Edmonds will give them fire protection for 1959 on a contract basis, with the same <br />general terms of the previous contract with Fire District #13, at the rate of 3 Mills on the Town of <br />Vloodway's assessed valuation. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Uouncilman Soresnen, seconded by Councilman Christensen, that the City call for <br />bids for curbs on the east side of Railroad Ave. between Main and Dayton; bids to be opened October 7 , 1958. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made.by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman'fuson that the City call for bids to <br />be opened October 7, 1958 for construction of storm sewers for LID #90. Holte 250.00 <br />There was no further business, and the meeting adjourned. <br />City Clerk <br />October 6, 1958 <br />This being the night set by law for the adoption of the Final Budget, the Council met for its special <br />meeting with Mayor Maxwell presiding. Councilmen present were: McGibbon, Lambe, Tuson, Christensen, <br />Simpson, and Sorensen.
