<br />A letter from the Great Northern Railway in regard to extending Admiral Way south from
<br />Dayton through the Pointer -Willamette Co. plant site was referred to.the Street Committee
<br />for a report on March 17'h.
<br />A request from St. Albans Church for permission to erect a sign at.21214 S.W..and one on
<br />8414 W. was referred to Mr. Lawson.
<br />In regard to the offer of an exchange of. property located `in-the,.vicinity of the water
<br />tanks, between the City and Mr. Gepner, a motion was made by. Councilman Kincaid,.seconded
<br />by Councilman McGibbon that a letter be sent stating the City's willingness to split the
<br />frontage of the property 50-50 on 10A Avenue, and any costs involved be done.at Mr: Gepner's
<br />expense.. "Motion carried.
<br />In answer to a request, it was moved by Councilman Lambe, seconded by Councilman
<br />Christensen that the Lions Club be authorized to perform work.on the playfield at 6A and
<br />Pine under the supervision of the City Supervisor. Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that., -,the bill
<br />of Hale Construction for contractor's estimate #2 on LID #94...in the amount of $2388.46 be.
<br />authorized for payment. Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the
<br />approved bills be paid and warrants drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried.

<br />Regular meeting was called to order by Mayor Maxwell, with Councilmen McGibbon, Tuson,
<br />Christensen, Simpson, Sorensen and Kincaid present.
<br />Upon recommendation by Engineer Reid, contracts were awarded on bids opened at the March 3
<br />meeting, and they were as follows:
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman Sorensen that the contract
<br />for paving as specified on LID #90, Railroad Avenue, Unit "B" be awarded to Washington
<br />Asphalt Co. of Seattle..for $4290.00. Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman'McGibbon that the bid
<br />of Hale Construction Co. in the amount of $1728.00 for construction of the storm sewers on
<br />Railroad Avenue in connection with LID #90, Unit "A", be accepted and a contract entered
<br />into for the; work. Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that the bid for
<br />work in connection with LID #91, paving of the 4 alleys in the downtown area be awarded to
<br />Lake City Gravel & Materials Inc. for $4515.00, and.a contract entered into for same.

<br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the bid on
<br />storm sewers between Main and Dayton on Fifth be awarded -to Hale Construction for $3724.70,
<br />and a contract be entered into for this work. Motion carried.
<br />Bids were opened on 2 mobile radio units for the.Fire Dept. Only bidder.was Motorola
<br />Communications and Electronics Inc. - $545.00 for..one.unit
<br />$510.00 for.the other.
<br />.Upon recommendation of Fire Chief Astell, a motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded
<br />by Councilman McGibbon that the bid on 2 radio sets for the price of $510.00 for one, and
<br />$545.00 for the other, with installation cost of $37.50 be awarded to Motorola Communications
<br />and Electronics Inc. of Bellevue. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Tuson made a motion, seconded by Councilman Simpson that Resolution of Intention
<br />#144 be adopted, declaring the Intention to set up an LID in the Pine Street area between
<br />109 and_.14t' for sewers, and April 21 be set for the. hearing on the preliminary assessment
<br />boll. Motion carried..
<br />A motion w4s made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the City call
<br />for bids on a carload of pipe containing approximately 1000 ft. 6f.6 inch, and 2400 ft.
<br />of 4 inch pipe, with Tyton joints, bids to be -opened. -April 7. Motion carried.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Christensen to authorize a
<br />call for bids for 20 fire hydrants with the necessary valves and appurtenances, bids to be
<br />opened April 7. Motion carried.
<br />Hearing on the proposed "Highway #99" annexation was continued until April 21, pending proper
<br />zoning by the Planning Commission.
