A motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that Interest - <br />bearing warrant #5 on LID #94 be authorized for payment to Hale Construction in the amount <br />of $1019.98 for contractor's estimate #3. Motion carried. � <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that interest -bearing <br />warrant #4 in the amount of $1018.71 to James H. Reid & Associates for total engineering <br />costs in connection with LID #94 be authorized for payment., Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman Sorensen tha t the proposed <br />"Larch" Street from 89, west to Paradise Lane, and "Oak".Ir®located from 8A to Edmonds Way, <br />be referred to.the Planning Commission for inclusion on the comprehensive Street Plan. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman Sorensen that the Planning <br />Commission be requested to include on the comprehensive street plan.the 60 ft. right of way <br />from 3rd to 2nd on James.. Motion carried. <br />It was decided that April 7 be set as the date for an informal hearing on the possibility <br />of constructing 12a Avenue, and that property owners in the area...be so notified by card. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that <br />Ordinance # 761 be passed, regarding the prepayment period expiration on LID #86. Motion <br />carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman Sorensen that the Council <br />accept the Engineer's proposed grade of "B" Street, and that it be filed. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tuson, for the Water Committee, reported that Engineer Reid had been advised • <br />to begin a feasibility, site, and estimated cost study for a future reservoir to be located <br />in the higher area of the City. <br />There was no further business and.the meeting was adjourned. <br />4,111" ;L <br />:J <br />City Clerk Ma <br />April 7, 1959 <br />Regular meeting was called to order by Mayor <br />Christensen, Sorensen, and Kincaid <br />Maxwell with Councilmen <br />McGibbon, Lambe, Tuson, <br />present. <br />Bids were opened for a <br />carload lot of Cast Iron Pipe. Bids were: <br />Pacific States <br />Cast Iron Pipe Co. <br />- 2400 L.F. 4" pipe <br />$3144.00 <br />1000 " 6" to <br />1970.00 <br />United States <br />Pipe and Foundry Co. <br />- 2400 4" of <br />3144.00 <br />1000 " 6" It <br />1970.00 <br />Upon recommendation of <br />the Water Committee, a <br />motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded <br />by Councilman Sorensen <br />that Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. be awarded the contract for the <br />pipe, for a total price <br />of $5114.00. Motion <br />carried. <br />Bids were opened for the purchase of 20 Fire Hydrants and Valves. They were: <br />Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. - Hydrants $2080,00 <br />Valves 742.80 <br />Pacific Water Works Supply Co. - Hydrants 2040.00 <br />Valves 710.00 <br />Western Utilities Supply Co. - Hydrants 2037.00 <br />Valves 714.00 <br />Hallgren Company (Ludlow Valve) - Hydrants 2219.00 <br />Valves 656.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Kincaid that the bid of Western <br />Utilities for the 20 Fire Hydrants at a cost of $2037.00 be accepted, and the contract for <br />same be awarded to them. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman McGibbon that the bid of Hallgren <br />Company for the valves at a cost of $656.00 be accepted and the contract be awarded to them. <br />Motion carried. <br />An Informal Hearing was held on the possible construction of 12t Avenue. Several property <br />owners who were notified by card were present. No council action was taken, but the proposed <br />plans were referred to the street committee for study. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kincaid, seconded by Councilman Sorensen thatthe approved <br />bills be paid and warrants drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe authorizing issuance of <br />interest -bearing warrant #1 on LID #95 to Southwick -Campbell Co., Inc. for the amount of <br />$600.00 representing one-half attorney's fees. Motion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe authorizing issuance of <br />interest -bearing warrant #6 on LID #94 to Hale Construction in the amount of $1,131.90 for <br />contractor's final estimate on the Michielli Park sewers.
