Roll call vote as follows: <br />Lambe - Yes <br />Simpson - Yes <br />Christensen - Yes <br />Sorenson - Yes <br />Slye - Yes Motion. carried. <br />/ Motion was made by Councilman Slye, seconded by Councilman Lambe that Ord. 864, relating <br />to pic_nball machines be passed. Motion carried. <br />There was no further business and the meeting adjourned. <br />�- <br />' sting City Clerk May , <br />January 3, 1961 <br />Meeting was called to order by Mayor Maxwell with all councilman present except Tuson. <br />There was a discussion on the qualifications for and the duties of the newly created Sup- <br />ertendent of Public Works position. It was agreed that the position should be supervisory <br />with some engineering background desirable. <br />Motion was:�made by Councilman Lambe, seconded by Councilman Slye that the regular monthly <br />bills be paid and warrants drawn on the proper funds. Motion carried. <br />Council also agreed to approve paying some = b•rils on January 17th. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the two "Little Metro" <br />bills be paid as follows.- Great Northern Railway Co. - $272.00 and Transport Clearings - $100.00. <br />Motion carried. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Christensen that the Hall & <br />Bennett bill on LID #102 in the amount of $125.00 be paid. Motion carried. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Slye to authorize issuance of <br />interest -bearing warrants to Southwick -Campbell & Co., Inc. in the amount of $11,428.55 to <br />cover estimate #6 submitted by Murphy Brothers, Inc., contractors on LID 197. Motion carried. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Slye that Est. #1 from Johnson <br />Engineering Company in the amount of $3,553.00 on LID #103 be paid. Motion carried. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Slye that the Hall & Benett bill <br />in the amount of $265.20 for attorney°s expense in 1960 be paid. Motion carried. <br />A letter from E. L. Sallee was.read in which he ask that a culvert be installed between Dayton <br />and Maple. The letter was referred to the Street Committee for a future report. <br />Notion was made by Councilman Simpson seconded by Councilman Christensen that Resolution #34 <br />�m the Planning Commission be adopted and a change in the zoning map should be made in accord- <br />.e with the resolutiov.
