Therefore, a motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe acknow- <br />ledging the sufficiency of the Ta,.lbot Part annexation potition and authorizing the ilayo2 to <br />appoint a Review Board and call a meeting for the purpose of this review. notion curried. <br />A Resolution was presented to the Council from the residents of the k1orth �;diaonds-Browns Bay <br />areas asking that all existing minimum restrictions be maintained in their area to be annoxod9 <br />and that existing construction or existing conditions which mi ;ht be in conflict with the City <br />of Edmonds codes be ,ranted variance. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye thwt all the regular monthly <br />bills be paid and warrants drawn on the proper funds. notion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill to City <br />Treasurer for postage on LID J97 for t,.90 be paid. I•lotion carried.. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Counciliaan Lambe that the bill to the Tribune - <br />Review on LID ;,`97 for 3188.45 be paid. !-lotion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Tuson that the bill to Hall & <br />Bennett for attorney fees on LID ;;I101 for 0`250.00 be paid. I•lotion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the bill to Reid, <br />ILiddleton &Associates on LID ,r101 for ?410.00 be paid. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Sorensen made a motion, seconded by Councilman Slye that the final estimate on LID <br />r101 from Washington Asphalt 80. be paid in the amount of 51085.09, subject to receipt and <br />clearance from the Dept. of Labor and Industries. Motion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded.by Councilman Slye that the final bill to Johnson <br />Engineering & Construction Co. on LID ;'103 for �1582.02 be paid subject to receipt and clearance <br />from the Dept. of Labor and Industiies. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill to Hall & <br />Bennett for j200.00 for attorney fees on LID 4103 be paid. !Motion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the bill to Reid, <br />1Liddleton & Associates on LID J103 for �519.14 be paid. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Sorensen made the motion, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill to Hall & <br />Bennett for attorney fees on LID .9104 for ; 175.00 be Paid. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill to Fern <br />Schoppert for a5.94 on LID ,104 for clerical work be paid. Motion carried. <br />It was roved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Christensen that the final payment <br />of reta.inage of a2935.30 to McDonald Construction Co. for work on Fire Station ;;-`2 be paid from <br />Civic Center funds subject to the furnishing of an. affadavit that all billsfor sub -contracting <br />and labor are paid. Motion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill to Hall & <br />Bennett for 8660.00 for final attorney fees on the Civic Center be paid. Notion carried. <br />A Petition was received signed by homeowners in the vicinity of 89f-I Place on Maplewood Hill <br />protesting the construction of a public entrance from their cul-de-sac into the newly de- <br />veloped Dent Park. <br />Mr. Bjorn Thuesen appeared before the council asking for their views on a petition for annex,-�tion <br />of his property, Lots 1 through 20, Preview Homes, at 218L- Pl. S.I.I. and 94th Ave. W. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Sorensen that since Idr. Thuesen <br />represented the required 10% of the property involved, and would agree to assume all existing <br />obligations of the City of Edmonds and be taxed at the same rate as the present city residents, <br />the council would entertain a petition for annexation of his property by the petition riethod. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Counciliaan Christensen to instruct the <br />attorney to draw a Resolution to call for an election for annexation of property lying ,.Jest of n <br />92nd, beginning from the present southerly city limits9 south to the intersection with the �.tl- <br />State Highway 1-W9 and westerly aloe; the north side of the highway to the present city limits. <br />Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded -by Councilman Simpson that the request of <br />Lloyd Black for a Late Comer Agreement arrangement on 340 ft. of sewor line on 8t' between <br />Birch and 141" be denied. Motion carried. <br />Resolution Y45 from the Planning Commission, recommending a change in the comprehensive plan <br />on off-street parking in R-C areas, was returned to the Planning Commission for furtlier study. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Slye, seconded by Councilman Tuson that the City plan to <br />participate up to 33000.00 in S.W. Snohomish County planning.
