The position was advertised and candidate Lisa Palmatier was chosen by the Commission to be interviewed by Mayor Nelson. Appointments to the Commission are made by the Mayor subject to council confirmation and are for a term of 4 years with a 2-term limit. Staff Recommendation Interview candidate Lisa Palmatier for confirmation of appointment to Position #1 on the Arts Commission. Narrative Position #1 is a "Visual Arts" position. The position was advertised with the intention of finding a candidate who had experience with visual art exhibits and could assist with rotating exhibits. Mayor Nelson interviewed candidate Lisa Palmatier and feels she has the necessary skills to fill this position and provide a good balance of talent on the Commission.
